The Tree of faith!

Last January we were on the process of buying our house, by that time we really did't knew for sure if we could get the property for what we offered... at that time, it was uncertain the purchase of the property, but we saw a tall Christmas tree and I always wanted to have a tall tree at home and I told Dora: "We are going to buy that tree, on faith" I knew that we didn't know for sure if we were going to get our dream house, but on faith we decided to buy the tree (It was also 75% off), so we bought it and stored until we purchased our house... then it was the first box to be placed on the attic, besides other Christmas purchases and we decided to bring it on before thanks giving, so here is a picture of the just unpacked and lighted tree of the faith... Decorations will come soon!

Fasten your Seat Belt! ... please????

Today, while I was driving, I start listening to the anointing sound of beep... beep... beep... and the light on my car’s odometer blinking as a reminder to fasten my seat belt... so I completed the task and the sound stopped and the ligh was off, then I start thinking about my daughters, the two little ones, no questions, as soon as they are on their chairs, they pull the seat belt and some times they remind me or their mom about the belt. The two teens, I have to remind them, they complain, but they finally attach the seat belt. Me, some times I forgot, and the sound and light remind me to put it on… and that’s the way we act in front of God instructions for life… What is the purpose of a seat belt? Is also called safety belt and is designed to secure the occupant of the car against a harmful movement that may result from a collision or a sudden stop. The question is: Why do I have to wear it all the time? Because an accident is something unexpected, and no one knows when is going to...

Poisoned

Friday night I ate some fish that was not good... so few minutes after I finished, I start feeling stomach pain and general sickness... Oh my God! it was a nightmare night, trowing out all night long and with an abdominal acute pain... My wife asked me if I wanted to go to the Hospital, but I asked just pray, just pray... Finally after few hours I felt sleep... feeling how the pain was slowly leaving... It happens all the time the same on our spiritual journey. We ate "something" we thing is good, but it starts to poison our spirit and we start feeling pain... some times so deep that we don't know what to do to get relief. The power of prayer is great in all situations. No matter what are you experiencing, pray faithfully... and you'll be fine soon...

Earthquake at Lima:

I start praying for Lima, Peru and all the affected cities for this big catastrophe, is sad always to know about the life loses, and people injured. My prayers for all the people suffering and their families at Peru. I just remember 1985 in Mexico City, it was September the 19, at 7:18 a.m. I was getting ready to go to work when I feel a strong movement in my apartment, and after a very looong seconds, we loose power, and after that, several smoke columns emerged all around the city… the toll, more than 10,000 inhabitants where killed… there was a sad memory, I lost few friends on that cataclysm. One thing I learned after that, during difficult times, is a great opportunity for mercy, unselfishness and other great fillings to bloom. That is no time to think who is more or less important, and it is also a great time to show compassion, and love for each other. After the tragedy, I listen to many great stories about courage, and I’m sure that we will listen to great stories after this sa...

Why do I do ministry?

Some one asked today to a room full of church staff: Why do you do ministry? While I listen to the answers I ask my self why, and I made a quick time travel remembering how my life was. I was dead… I was having a miserable live, living every day with no hope, just waiting for the next day to come, and the next, and the next… destroying my life and the life of people close to me. Until one day when I accepted Jesus as my savior. On that day, I got new life, real life, a reason to be alive, with hope and a new opportunity on every day. I was able to enjoy life, my family, a sunrise, the rain, and I discover that God give to me gifts to be used to reach “dead” people, just like I was. That’s why I do Ministry, because I’m alive, because I can help others to discover that there is live on this earth, and there is a God who created us, who cares for us, and he loves us, and doing ministry, I’m part of God’s plan to reach people who need hope but more important than all, is because when they...
