The Inner Child

Yesterday was an interesting day; I expended few hours at Universal Studios at Orlando, FL. I was with Kevin, Troy’s college roommate giving Troy some space to prepare for this loooong weekend teachings. I’m been at Florida for almost 8 years and I have been at Orlando several times with my family, just leaving my older daughters at the parks and taking the little ones to Magic Kingdom or somewhere else. This time I was able to have fun with Kevin. We took almost all the rides at the studios, because this time of the year there is no long waiting lanes, plus we got a “Fast Pass” we had fun from Shreck to E.T. (We almost ride Barney attraction too ☺ ), then we went to Adventure Islands and had few rides, I’m not really a great fan of the high adrenaline rides, neither Kevin, so wisely we just observed those. We become old when we stop laughing, and it was a great reminder for me to have fun at the park. I laugh, I scream, and I enjoyed as much as many others on the park. God, please don

Smile....

Finally, blogging again. The latests days have been a little busy, but here I'm sharing some thoughts: On the las few days, I learned that a little smile doesn't hurt. I'm been in front of the camera more than I wanted, but also I had the opportunity to look at my "I'm busy, don't disturb face". I got few comments on my expression, that today I made a decision: I will put a little smile, even when I'm in front of the computer, starting from the outside until I reach the reason deep inside me, because, some one can be watching, so smile :)

Today's Devotion

Today's suggested reading: Proverbs 14 I Am Not Always Right Sometimes. Brian Vasil, Media Pastor “Arrogant know-it-alls stir up discord, but wise men and women listen to each other's counsel.” Proverbs 13:10 (TM) I only fight when I have to. I don’t like discord, disunity, disagreements, or disco. Basically anything that involves fighting, yelling, or platform shoes. Never have. When my brother and I would fight as kids, I’d usually win just because I was bigger than him. Now he is 6 foot 4 and that doesn’t work so I have to out-think him. I have to convince him that I know it all. I have all the answers…I have it all figured out. Of course, I really don’t, but you’d never know it by the way that I fight, though. Have you ever been in an argument or fight and realize halfway through that you are TOTALLY wrong? You know…that thing called pride kicks in and we are fighting for its own sake. Why do we do this to ourselves? Has arrogance or pride ever helped to solve a conflict? I

Vamos a la playa! (Let's go to the beach)

Today was our first live run out of the house, so we had to setup the Mobile Unit for streaming. After sharing a devotional with almost 50 people at five o’clock on the morning, I installed the Grip for the camera on the windshield, cables, some Velcro on the dashboard of the Honda Element, the computer and, I switched from Home to mobile with no problem. Then we met the video production crew at Starbucks to be headed to Ft. Lauderdale Beach to shoot a video to promote Beach Baptism. While I was driving on the I-595, I missed the exit, and then we had to make a looooong turn to get on the right direction. The good thing about that missing exit is that Troy discovered a brand new Starbucks Café at US1 and Davie Blvd. Finally we arrived at the beach, after all the jokes about “Safe Driving”, “Get a GPS”, “My Iphone can give you driving directions” and so… When I was getting ready to take the camera out of the car, I discover something… I missed the camera batteries! We where running

My greatest blessing.

9 years ago, I was having the most difficult time in my entire life. After a complete breakdown, I was ready to take my life on my own hands and God showed me his mercy and I knew for sure there was a real God. I remember my first kind of prayer was “All right, I understood. You want me to stay… I’ll stay here, but I don’t know what to do with my life… please show me the way, because I’m lost. Show me the path you want me to follow and I’ll do it. You want me to stay on this life, please, show me the way”. That was my first prayer… and the answer came to me. Few days later, He sent me an Angel on a shape of a woman. Some one with great patience, love and understanding that took care of that task and wisely she guided me to Christ, not inviting me to church or talking to me about Jesus, or judging me for my past actions… she just accepted me like I was… and prayed for me. Instead, she showed me Jesus on her daily actions, until finally I found Christ! My life was completely changed, tra

20 Minutes late…

To understand the value of a year, just ask a student who failed one, to understand a month, ask to a mother who give birth early, to understand the value of a week, ask to the editor of “Weekly News” paper. To understand the value of a day, ask to the lovers are waiting to see each other. To understand the value of an hour, ask to a nurse who is taking care of medication at a hospital. To understand the value of a minute, ask a friend who lost the flight because he was one minute late. To understand the value of a second, ask a person who avoided a car accident, just for a second. To understand the value of a fraction of a second, ask to a runner pursuing to break a record… I can see how important is to understand the value of the time in our lives. Today I was awaken 20 minutes late… Come on… just 20 minutes, I just jump out of bed, and ran to check the live feed… already started. And I missed the recording of the Devotion first part, and I just started the day without my personal qu

Awakenings:

Some weekends I expended with my grandma Martha, she told me few of the Aesop's Fables, and I particularly remember a short one; The Ants and the Grasshopper. The ants were spending a fine winter's day drying grain collected in the summertime. A Grasshopper, perishing with famine, passed by and earnestly begged for a little food. The Ants inquired of him, "Why did you not treasure up food during the summer?' He replied, "I had not leisure enough. I passed the days in singing." They then said in derision: "If you were foolish enough to sing all the summer, you must dance supperless to bed in the winter." I always thought: “Those are mean ants”, but the true is that we have to be awake in order to reach our God’s potential. The entire series of Antology where based on a Bible Verse: Proverbs 6: 9-11 ESV 9 How long will you lie there, O sluggard? When will you arise from your sleep? 10 A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to

Time to get naked....

I haven’t posted for two days… I was installing the mobile station at Troy’s house. We installed a workstation with four cameras trying to capture the best of the Launch party for MyNakedPastor series. Today, while I was checking the contest videos, there is one who really catch my attention, the video “Let’s get naked for real”. The author shares, on a creative way, some of his personal life, from 10 to 24 years old. It is a “You must watch video” and this is the main subject of our new series, about being real, about open your minds and your hearts, to take our masks and to find what is inside all the layers that are covering our lives. I’m really exited about this new series, because is confronting me on several ways, it has not started yet, and now I’m thinking on what and why I’m hiding things… I thing this series will bless many people, including me. Don't miss the launch party tonight at 9 PM (8 Central Time)

"In a village in La Mancha, whose name I do not care to recall...

“Don Quijote de la Mancha” is one of the greatest pieces of the Spanish Literature, it was written in the late XVI century by Miguel De Cervantes Saavedra, and it is considered as a corner stone of the novel writing. The first time I read this book I was 12 years old and I was captive by the romantic history of a Man who believed he was a “knight errant” with his armor bearer, Sancho Panza. All the history is about his dreams, his adventures and his errands. The first part of the book is funny and entertaining but the second part is more reflexive. Although the history is about “Don Quijote”, one of the reflexive characters is Sancho Panza, a man who always believed unconditionally the vision of his master, and no mater how crazy the venture looked; He was always there to support the Quijote's journeys. God gave to our Leader a vision to reach people all over the world to partner with them to reach their God's potential and to be “One church where you are" Today, at our st

The Great Wall

The Great Wall is the world's longest human-made structure, stretching over approximately 6,400 km (4,000 miles)[2] from Shanhai Pass in the east to Lop Nur in the west, along an arc that roughly delineates the southern edge of Inner Mongolia. It is also the largest human-made structure ever built in terms of surface area and mass. Ouch....

Today, Sol was jumping on her sister’s bed and she was hurt with a small cut on the leg. She didn’t wanted anyone to touch the cut, but I explained about the cuts, the infections and how the bacteria can causes more pain, and after the long explanation, she agreed to allow me help her to clean herself and to put a band aid to protect the cut. Some times we are also hurt by some situation in our life and we don’t want to be toched by anybody, even when we need assistance, because the pain is so big that we believe than there is nothing to release the pain, and we keep it on that way… We need to clean our wounds to start the healing process, and the one who can clean us and heal us is Jesus. Today is a good day to recall anything that can be causing pain in your live and allow our savior to clean and heal you.

12 and a Half is not equal than 12 and ¾

Today I review my “to do” list at home and there was some pending tasks to be done. Paulina’s bed was broken and I needed to replace the base wood to fix it, also one of the kitchen drawers required some work, My daughters room needed a ceiling light, one of the baths needed some towel hangers… so “Labor Day” was a good day to take my to do list, and tackle it. I took some measures, I needed a large piece of 39 x 78 inches, and a small piece of 12 ½ by 4 ¾. I choose a panel and I took it to the cutting area, I gave the measures to the man who was doing the cuts and once I got my pieces, I’m used to check the measures and for my surprise, the small one it was 12 ¾ by 4 ¾ instead of 12 ½ I went back to the cutter, and he explained that it was close of the measure I requested, and he suggested me to use it just like that, I just laugh, and I just told him, sorry, but I’ll need this piece 12 ½ , no 12 ¾ . Then he told me “We are not allowed to do cuts smaller than 12 inches… I laugh again
One year ago, I met Deanna and Gonzalo, a young couple who was seeking wedding information, they where planning to get married. I gave them all the information, requirements and also we started a couple’s seminar that I usually give to the married couples. Marriage is the most important project on a humans life, is the fusion of two different elements onto a new one. Imagine this: You know in your heart that you want to be an architect, you love to design, you know that you have the potential to be not a good one, but a great one. You decided to go to the University fill out the application, sign your enrollment, and in that moment, get your diploma, you start looking for work, with your brand new title, they assign you to develop and build a nice complex… and you got all the enthusiasm, the feeling… but cero knowledge… after you got the project, you start studying and trying to accomplish the task at the same time… what will be the result? You’ll be lucky if you can get any progress
